A Little About Me…

Scripture Template (3).png

My name is Katie, and here is a little “about me”…

Before my relationship with Christ, I considered myself to be agnostic (with atheist-like tendencies). I didn’t really think about God, and Jesus was even farther from my mind.

I mean, when you’re in your twenties, you’re invincible. Right?

At that time, I was thoroughly enjoying life on the beach. I had just graduated college, had a great apartment, a stable job, a bunch of friends… everything a 25-year-old could’ve wanted.

I was in complete control—I was the God of my world—and, I was definitely in no “need” of a Savior.

So what caused an independent, self-sufficient, know-it-all like myself to look up?

You’ll have to keep an eye out for bits and pieces of my testimony throughout this blog as I share more and more of God’s Truth.

It’s my hope and prayer that you have been lead to this blog with an open heart, able to read and receive all that the Lord has to say.

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
— John 8:32 (NIV)

By the grace of God only, I am a Christian.

There is no better victory than to be walking with Christ, to be in the presence of His authentic love, and to be called holy and blameless in His sight.

My heart is being healed and I’ve been made whole. My soul is being sanctified and the chains have been broken. I am set free.

I hope you all stick around and find this blog to be a place of encouragement and understanding, giving all glory and praise to our Lord and King, Jesus Christ.

In His love,
Katie

  1. God bless you, sister. Only words of the King can touch my heart like that. Thank you for sharing those sweet words–the Spirit of the Lord lives in you. What a blessing :) I, too, have struggled with much — conformity being only one of the many — and our God has uprooted the lies that have kept me blind and in bondage. Now, it’s time to share Him and all that He’s done! I hope this blog continues to bless you and, perhaps as I tell my story, you will receive extra healing through what God has brought me through.

  3. I only had to read the note at the top of your blog about trying to prove Christianity wrong and God revealing truth to you, to know I would follow your blog.
And you P.S. is so perfectly and exactly what I need and hat everyone needs. I’m thankful you added that. One thing I see much to often, is someone who is trying to teach but not thinking it’s something you have to be called to. So many think preaching or missionary works are something you’re called to. But teaching is too.

  4. Awe, what a blessing! Thank you for the sweetest comment :) You have blessed my day and, how encouraging! Feel free to use anything on my site if you ever feel compelled to share. They are God’s Words, not mine. And, you’re so right… teaching is a calling. A very serious calling! God Bless you Odfortner :) From a sister in Christ, united through the Truth of His blood and God’s Word!
